Questions, answered properly

What it does

Yes. The panel and authentication screens render on ordinary pages and bring their own styles. If a theme’s CSS still interferes, switch on the Asset Cleanup module and theme and plugin stylesheets stop loading on those screens.

No. WooCommerce’s own hooks keep firing. HUBU adds endpoints; it does not replace them.

No. Free includes the full dashboard, unlimited panel sections, the form builder, the password policy, rate limiting, the international phone field, WooCommerce integration and Asset Cleanup. Pro adds the user-communication layer, one-time codes and theming.

Deleting the plugin leaves your settings, user data and tables in place, and reinstalling picks up where you left off. A clean data removal happens only if you explicitly opt in.

Every module is a switch, and what is off does not load. A Google font is enqueued only when one is actually selected. In practice Asset Cleanup makes panel pages lighter than they were before.

By default HUBU trusts only REMOTE_ADDR, because headers like X-Forwarded-For can be set by anyone. One filter tells HUBU which header your proxy actually sets, and only then is it trusted.

Every string ships translatable on the hubu text domain. Put your .po and .mo files in wp-content/languages/plugins/ so they survive updates, and RTL layouts are mirrored rather than patched.

IPPanel and Twilio ship ready. If yours is not there, adding it means implementing one interface — you are not waiting on us.

Licensing and payment

One live production domain. Staging, local and development copies of a site you have already licensed don’t count — you don’t need a second licence to work safely on a site you already own.

Updates and support stop. Everything already installed keeps running exactly as it is: your members can still sign in, and nothing is disabled or degraded. Renew whenever you want the updates back.

Yes. Deactivate it on the old domain from your account and activate it on the new one. There is no cooling-off period and no limit on how often you do it.

Yes, and you only pay the difference for the remainder of the year. Upgrading mid-term does not restart your renewal date.

No. A site with fifty members and a site with fifty thousand cost the same. We do not meter logins, and the plugin sends us no usage data to meter them with.

Cards through our payment provider, and bank transfer for Agency licences on request. Invoices carry your company details and VAT number where you supply one.

There is no time-limited trial, because the refund does the same job with less friction: buy it, install it, and ask for your money back within fourteen days if it is not right.

From WordPress’s own environment type, plus the usual signals: localhost, .local and .test hosts, staging. and dev. subdomains, your host’s staging domains, and private network addresses. Where it’s ambiguous we don’t count it.

Any number of live sites you own or manage on behalf of clients. It is not a licence to resell HUBU or to install it for sites you have no relationship with.

No — every price on this page is shown excluding VAT. Your local rate is calculated and added at checkout, and an EU business with a valid VAT number is zero-rated there.

It goes. The rate is held for as long as the licence stays active; a lapsed licence renews at list price. That is the whole difference between this and a first-year discount.

Installing and migrating

Longer than a marketing page would like to say, and the honest answer is that it depends on how much you switch on. Activating the plugin creates the member area and authentication pages for you; assigning them, building your panel sections and configuring modules is real work. The Overview page tells you what is still unfinished — unassigned pages, permalinks set to Plain, sections with no rewrite rule — so you are not guessing when you are done.

It renders inside your theme rather than replacing it, on ordinary pages, and brings its own styles. If a theme’s CSS still interferes, switch on the Asset Cleanup module and theme and plugin stylesheets stop loading on the panel and login screens — and the Overview page reminds you if they are still loading.

There is no importer, and mostly there is nothing to import: members, roles and custom user meta already live in the WordPress user tables, so HUBU reads what is there. What you re-create once is another plugin’s custom field definitions — after that the values map by meta key.

It is not a multisite feature we test or support today, so we do not claim it. On a single site it needs nothing special. If multisite is the deciding factor for you, ask before you buy rather than after.

PHP 8.0 or newer and WordPress 6.5 or newer. No special extensions, no cron requirement beyond WordPress’s own, and no external service unless you enable SMS.

Running it day to day

They sign in with whatever else you have enabled. One-time codes can go to email as well as SMS, per flow, and password login stays available unless you have deliberately switched it off — so keeping either one on is what gives a member a way back in. There is no recovery-code system to lose.

Nothing leaves the server while a visitor simply browses. The only outbound calls are connecting your site to your account, checking the licence and fetching an update, and each one is triggered by an explicit action in the admin. Nothing about your members, your content or your traffic is sent anywhere.

Email, from your account, with the site URL and what you were doing. Plus and Agency licences get a reply within one business day; Starter is answered in order. There is no ticket system to learn.

Email security@ rather than opening a public issue, and you will get an acknowledgement the same working day. We will tell you when a fix ships and credit you in the release notes unless you would rather we did not.

No question matches that.
